Todays fire rating is Fire Advisory
Current Fire Rating:Fire Advisory
Effective immediately the County of Warner No.5 has downgraded the Fire Ban to a Fire Advisory.
Under the advisory permits are issued for activities that require them, but permit holders must use extra caution for safe and responsible burning. Permits can be requested by contacting your local Fire Chief.
Recreational fire pits, charcoal BBQ's, and fires that are contained in cooking or heating appliances fueled by fluids or gases (gas or propane fueled fire rings, BBQ's, stoves) are allowed.
The public is still reminded of the dangers that smoking materials can cause when they are discarded into dry vegetation, including ditches. Always dispose of smoking materials in proper containers and ensure they are completely out.
Off-Highway Vehicles and farm equipment can also start wildfires. Be sure to check that hotspots remain free of debris and that mufflers and spark arrestors are working properly.
The County thanks everyone for their cooperation in keeping the region safe from wildfires during this time..
